Tbilisi, 15-17 October 2018 - ISF Cooperation Strategic Director Mr Kole Gjeloshaj participated at the 15th Council of Europe Conference of Ministers responsible for Sport.
As a member of the Consultative Committee of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport (EPAS), ISF played a key role, advocating for the education and youth to be included in the resolutions accepted at the conference.
15th Council of Europe Conference of Ministers responsible for Sport was organised by Council of Europe and Georgia's Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, and focused on two main themes; "Protecting human rights in sport: obligations and shared responsibilities", and "Fighting corruption in sport: scaling up action".
At the conference Mr Gjeloshaj advocated for the implementation of the education, educational approach and development of pedagogical tools to be considered and included in both resolutions. Mr Gjeloshaj emphasised, the efforts must be focused on guaranteeing every human has opportunity to access the before mentions tools.
The conference, held in Tbilisi, Georgia, saw EPAS member states accepting the Tbilisi Declarations (on Human Rights and Sport, and Fighting Corruption in Sport).
ISF attended the conference alongside Ministers of Sport representing states parties to the European Cultural Convention and EPAS member states and other high-level representatives from the sports sector.
