Antananarivo, 10 September 2019 - The First Regional Conference of African Ministers on the Implementation of the Kazan Action Plan in Africa was held in Antananarivo, Madagascar, on 10 September 2019.
The conference, organized with the support of the African Union and UNESCO, gathered experts and Ministers responsible for the physical education and sport, in order to develop a regional Action Plan for the implementation of the KAP in Africa.
The implementation of the Kazan Action Plan is an opportunity to pursue the efforts of developing the African continent and achieving the Agenda 2063 through physical education and sport.
The conference included two segments: an experts and the Ministers meeting. The main aim of discussions was the issue of providing youth with quality physical education, which includes qualified physical education teachers and proper sport infrastructure.
At the conference, the experts developed an Action Plan for the implementation of the KAP in Africa, while African Ministers discussed the adoption of the plan.
