The International School Sport Federation (ISF), is a fast-growing international association leading the school sport events worldwide. Our aim is to implement the vision of the board and enhance business opportunities for the ISF.
The SG/CEO of ISF is a highly-motivated professional who can drive and manage the association in an autonomous way carrying out the following tasks:
Work closely with the Management Committee and its President to develop a coherent strategy for the association in relation to policymaking, communications and financial performance of the association.
Take ultimate responsibility for managing the budget and the team of ISF.
Be an Ambassador for the ISF with stakeholders towards bodies and institutions, the media, non-governmental organisations, school sport entities, sponsors and partners.
Speak at high-level events to convey the positions of the association to important stakeholders
Seek and attend meetings with the highest level of policymakers
Devise, support and implement lobbying and advocacy activities
Develop, support and contribute to the communications activities of the association
Build alliances with partners to achieve goals in the policy arena
Support the development of affiliations and countries involvements by actively attending meetings in the related sector.
Devise and support business development activities to further the association’s presence in front of the sector.
Prepare and participate in the Management Committee, Executive Committee and
Coordinate the staff duties and achieving goals.
Evaluate and monitor the strategy
Be the intermediary between the staff and the Executive Committee and Management Committee.
Any other activity deemed necessary by the Management Committee.
General profile of the ideal candidate
Strategic thinker and tactical implementer
Deep knowledge of the political sector and particularly in Sport and Education.
A results-driven, self-starter able to take the initiative and lead activities largely autonomously
Proven capability of steering a business with P/L responsibility with a strong entrepreneurial acumen
Strong speaking skills
Have the sense of leadership
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good experience of managing a team
Service minded, reliable, rigorous, with a strong attention to detail
Incline to travel abroad often
Qualifications
A master’s degree in management, law, political sciences or any experience that can correspond to the job description.
Excellent level of written and spoken English. Any other language, especially French (common language in the world of diplomacy and sports) is an asset.
Excellent knowledge of the sport and education sphere is required and experience within one of the institutions is highly expedient.
A business experience with proven results is a must.
A minimum of 8 years’ experiences.
Experience with professional associations.
