Looking towards 2021, it is with great pleasure to announce that the Tennis ISF World Schools Championship (WSC) will be hosted by the city of Bayamón, Puerto Rico, returning the event to the Americas for the first time since its last appearance in Recife, Brazil in 2017.
The press conference for the event was held at the Hyatt Place, Bayamón on March 1st, 2019 in presence of ISF president Mr Laurent Petrynka. It was organised by the local organising committee, represented by President Mr Freddie Sanchez along with Executive Director Mr Joaquin Porrata-Doria of ISF Member Propulsores del Deporte (Puerto Rican School Sport Federation).
In addition to the recent appointment of ISF Tennis Technical Commission President, Martin Vassallo Argüello of Argentina, the global reach of this ISF WSC is an example of the continued development and expansion within ISF. Already this year, the city of Castel di Sangro, Italy will play host to 15 nations, bringing with them 14 teams of boys and 14 teams of girls to participate in this year’s Tennis ISF WSC.
