Before Gymnasiade and General Assembly 2018, ISF delegation attended the Sport Accord summit in Bangkok, Thailand, signed two new MoUs, with International Sambo Federation (FIAS) and International Fencing Federation (FIE), and renewed its cooperation with World Archery.
Global Association of International Sports Federations president Mr Patrick Baumann welcomed over 75 International Sport Federations, with special guests, among who was also the President of International Olympic Committee (IOC) Mr Thomas Bach. ISF attended the summit with an aim of strengthening School Sport among International Sport Federations, stakeholders and its world-class partners.
MoU with International Sambo Federation; 1st WSC coming in August
Confirming the cooperation on the organisation of the first ISF Sambo World School Championship (WSC) in August 2018, ISF Secretary General Mr Jan Coolen signed a MoU with International Sambo Federation’s president Mr Vasily Shestakov and Secretary General Mr Roberto Ferraris.

First ever ISF WSC in Sambo will take place in Oryol, Russia from August 22-26, 2018, organised by ISF and Socio-State Society of Physical Training “Youth Russia”.
Strengthening Fencing among School Sport youth; MoU with FIE
Mr Emmanuel Katsiadakis, Secretary General of International Fencing Federation (FIE - Fédération Internationale d'Escrime) and ISF Secretary General Mr Jan Coolen signed a MoU declaring a future cooperation between the two federations to strengthen the sport of fencing among School Sport youth.

Fencing is one of the 18 sports featured at ISF School Summer Games. A month ago, youth fencers from all over the World gathered in Marrakech, Morocco, for a 3-day tournament as part of the 17th edition of Gymnasiade.
Renewing agreement with World Archery
At Sport Accord summit, ISF also renewed its agreement with World Archery Federation to strengthen the future cooperation and development of youth archery. ISF Secretary General Mr Jan Coolen and Mr Tom Dielen, Secretary General of World Archery met at the Summit, confirming the possible collaboration at the 2019 World Archery Championships, as well as eight Gymnasiade 2018 teams being eligible for MQS for Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires.

Same as fencing, archery is also part of Gymnasiade. Both sports will be featured at 2020 ISF School Summer Games in Jinjiang, China.
