Call for Volunteers

International multi-sport event for school students under 18 years old. 


This year will see the International School Sport Federation organising the 19th edition of  ISF Gymnasiade 2022, hosted by the French School Sport Federation (UNSS) in the region of Normandy in France and especially 9 cities (Caen, Deauville, Ecouves, Le Havre, Granville, Rouen, Val de Reuil This event is the largest international multi-sport event for school students from 16-18 years old, gathering from all around the world to    compete in 20 different sports including 3 para sports namely Archery, Artistic Gymnastics, Athletics, Para Athletics, Badminton, Basketball 3x3, Beach Volleyball, Boxing, Dance Sport-Breaking, Fencing, Judo, Para-Judo, Orienteering, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Rugby Seven, Swimming, Para Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Wrestling. 
Participants will be given the opportunity to combine high-level competition with educational programmes including seminars and workshops, designed to develop leadership skills in addition to raising awareness on important policies and topics, such as physical education and health, gender equality, fair play and sustainable development. Cultural activities and visits during the event will also provide opportunities to experience the culture and heritage of France and Normandy, as well as allow the participants the chance to present their own cultures and traditions, creating cross cultural exchanges between all participants throughout the event. 


The ISF is seeking for volunteers to join its communication team for the following position: 
Digital Content Producer 

 

*Tasks and responsibilities:

1.    Recording short mobile videos and photos to be provided all day through internal communication platforms
2.    Creation of entertaining and engaging social media posts for the ISF social media each day for all activities (FB and Instagram stories in priority)
3.    Realisation of interviews with athletes and delegation
4.    Editorial support in writing news and stories about the event activities and participants to be published on the event website
5.    Support for any communication/PR and hospitality activities during the event
6.    Event Audio Visual content classification and event server management.
7.    Competition programme and results publication on this event website.
8.    Supporting the sport merchandising plan of ISF and its Marketing partners activation

*Each of these tasks will be divided among the team of volunteers. You won’t be requested necessarily to managed each of these tasks. 

 

Competences and Skills:

Fluent English speaker both written and oral, additional languages are an advantage. Ability to meet deadline and work well in a team 
Creativity energy and resourcefulness; with a proactive attitude 
Understanding of the International Sport movement and key stakeholders 

 

ISF will cover the cost of flights, accommodation, and meals throughout the entire event. 

Applicant shall have at least 18 years old 

 

About the ISF: 
Based in Brussels Belgium, the International School Sport Federation is an international multisport organisation, recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) since 1995 gathering 132 National School Sport Organisations all around the world. Together with their members, ISF organises more than 10 international sport competitions and grassroots sport and educational events every year for school students aged between 6 to 18 years. With more than 40 sports in its programmes with established partnerships with the relevant International Federations, the ISF organises four different categories of events: Multisport Games U18 – U15; World Schools Championships, School Sport Cups and Educational events.
