ISF Unveils 2027 Calendar with Eight Sport Events Across the World
Sep. 25, Lausanne, Switzerland – ISF has officially unveiled its 2027 event Calendar, bringing together a growing programme of international school sport events across Europe, Asia and the Americas.
With eight ISF-hosted events scheduled for 2027, the calendar continues the expansion of ISF’s own event programme compared with the past two years. From established destinations to new host countries, the programme reflects the global reach and growing impact of school sport around the world.
The 2027 calendar brings together a mix of familiar hosts and new destinations. Brazil, Serbia and China return as experienced hosts of ISF events, while Cyprus makes its return to the calendar after several years away. At the same time, Bulgaria, India and Saudi Arabia will welcome ISF events for the first time, bringing new locations and new opportunities for the international school sport community.
The programme also introduces three championship disciplines that have developed from the ISF Gymnasiade into standalone ISF Championships: Badminton, Wrestling and Beach Volleyball. Their inclusion further broadens the range of opportunities available to young athletes through ISF’s international competition programme.
Across the 2027 calendar, ISF events will provide opportunities for athletes across both U15 and U18 age groups. Five events will be open to U18 athletes, while seven will offer U15 competition, creating a programme that supports young people at different stages of their school sport journey.
From returning destinations and experienced partners to new host countries and new championship opportunities, the 2027 Sports Calendar reflects the continued development of international school sport and the growing community connected through ISF.
ISF is working closely with the Local Organising Committees to finalise the missing details which will be published once they are confirmed.
