Government of Egypt and ISF Strengthen Cooperation for the Future of School Sport
Jul. 14, Lausanne, Switzerland – ISF has strengthened its cooperation with Egypt following high-level meetings between ISF President Željko Tanasković, Secretary General Hasnae El Ayoubi, and Egyptian Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Abdel Latif,Vice Minister Dr. Ahmed Daher, Head of the Central Department of Student Activities Dr Eman Hassan, together with senior officials of the Ministry.
The discussions focused on expanding cooperation between ISF and its Egyptian partners through three key areas: increasing the participation of Egyptian student-athletes in ISF competitions, developing PE Teacher educational programmes, supporting the continued development of school sport in Egypt through the Education and the Egyptian Federation for School Sports (EFSS), and exploring opportunities for Egypt to host future ISF events.
President Tanasković welcomed Egypt's commitment to school sport and highlighted ISF's ambition to continue building strong partnerships with national education authorities and member federations. He noted that, by working closely with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the EFSS, ISF aims to create more international opportunities for young people while strengthening the educational role of school sport.
The meeting also included discussions on future ISF events and innovative hosting models that respond to the evolving needs of organisers and participating delegations. Both sides expressed their willingness to continue working together to bring more international school sport activities to Egypt and further expand opportunities for student-athletes across the country.
