ISF Executive Committee for 2026-2030 Term is Elected by General Assembly
Jul. 21, Belgrade, Serbia – The second day of ISF Ordinary General Assembly 2026 continued in Belgrade on Tuesday, bringing together representatives of ISF Member Federations for further discussions on the Federation’s governance and future development.
A highlight of the day was the visit of Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Đuro Macut, who addressed the General Assembly and welcomed representatives of the international school sport community to Serbia.
Prime Minister Macut highlighted the universal role of school sport in bringing young people together across borders and languages, and underlined the importance of investing in school sport as an investment in the health, education, character, and future of young people.
“Your presence in Belgrade confirms that school sport transcends borders and languages and serves as a universal platform where young people learn the most important values in life — teamwork, discipline, respect, responsibility, and friendship.”
Under the supervision of the Electoral Committee, the ISF Ordinary General Assembly completed the election of the new ISF Executive Committee for the 2026–2030 term.
The new Executive Committee reflects the growing diversity of the ISF community. Gender representation continues to develop across the Federation, with three new female assessors elected to the Executive Committee. Olabisi Joseph of Nigeria, a former ISF Executive Committee member, was also elected as the first ever female ISF Continental President.
The new Executive Committee also brings together continuity and renewal, combining returning EC members and technical. committee colleagues with previous experience in ISF institutional roles with new faces entering ISF governance for the first time.
Together, this combination of experience, broad representation, and new perspectives will provide continuity while bringing fresh ideas and new momentum to the next phase of ISF development. The new Executive Committee will hold its first meeting on 22 July, formally beginning its new term.
