ISF Extraordinary General Assembly Approves Key Strategic and Governance Decisions
Jan. 20, Lausanne, Switzerland – ISF held an Extraordinary General Assembly online on 11 December 2025, chaired by ISF President Mr. Željko Tanasković. The meeting addressed several key governance, financial and strategic matters, marking an important step in ISF’s ongoing institutional development and long-term vision for school sport worldwide.
ISF President Mr. Željko Tanasković presented his strategic vision for the 2026–2032 period, outlining the next phase of development for the Federation. The strategy focuses on innovation, stronger engagement with member federations, and the continued promotion of school sport at a global level. Member federations were invited to provide feedback on the strategy to support its further refinement and effective implementation in the years ahead.
ISF Executive Director Mrs. Hasnae El Ayoubi presented an update on the activities of the ISF Secretariat. Her report highlighted the ongoing operational work of the organisation and progress in implementing the decisions and recommendations of the President and the Executive Committee.
The General Assembly also approved the ISF Budget for 2026 which was presented by ISF Head of Finance Mr. Didier Wicht.
In line with ISF’s commitment to good governance and transparency, open calls for candidates to the ISF Disciplinary Committee were issued in February and October 2025. Following a thorough review process conducted by the Management Committee and the Executive Committee, the selected candidates were appointed to the ISF Disciplinary Committee in accordance with the ISF Statutes.
The General Assembly approved the appointment of the Disciplinary Committee.

The 2025 Extraordinary General Assembly reflects ISF’s commitment to good governance, long-term vision, and the collective involvement of its member federations in shaping the future of international school sport.
