ISF General Assembly 2026 Opens in Belgrade
Jul. 20, Belgrade, Serbia โ ISF Ordinary General Assembly 2026 (ISF GA) opened today in the capital city of Serbia, bringing together delegations from ISF Member Organisations and leaders from the international sport and education communities. The gathering offered an opportunity for long-standing friends and colleagues from across the global school sport community to reconnect and exchange perspectives, while also providing a platform for high-level dialogue on the development of school sport and physical activity worldwide.
Beyond its formal governance responsibilities, ISF GA also serves as an important gathering of the global school sport community. Long-standing friends and colleagues from ISF Member Organisations have reunited in Belgrade, while the Assembly has also provided an opportunity for high-level exchanges between leaders from the worlds of education and sport.

Along with Serbian Sport Minister ๐ญ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐ท๐ถ๐ฐฬ, ISF leadership led by President ๐ญฬ๐ฒ๐น๐ท๐ธ๐ผ ๐ง๐ฎ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ธ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ฐฬ held high-level meetings with:

- Senior representatives of Brazilian School Sport Federation and ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ฒ ๐จ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐.
The meetings provided an opportunity to exchange views on the development of school sport and to strengthen international cooperation around shared priorities.
During the first day of the Assembly, delegates reviewed and approved the activity reports presented by the ISF President, Vice Presidents, Secretary General and Continental School Sport Associations. The reports provided an overview of the work undertaken across the Federation since the previous General Assembly and offered delegates an opportunity to review progress across ISFโs governance and international activities.
The General Assembly also received a progress report on preparations for the ISF Football World Cup โ Suzhou 2026.ย Ms. Jin Jie, Publicityย Directorย of the CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee, updated delegates on the preparations for the major international school football event. The ISF Football World Cup 2026 will take place from 17 to 26 October 2026 in Suzhou, China.
The ISF Ordinary General Assembly 2026 will continue on 21 July with the election of the new ISF Executive Committee. Under the ISF Statutes, the Executive Committee has the authority to decide on key ISF matters and plays a central role in ensuring effective coordination across the Federationโs committees and regions. Its decisions significantly influence ISFโs operations, governance and future development. Elected by the General Assembly, the Executive Committee will guide the Federation through the next four-year term.
