Meet International Sport Leaders in Milano Cortina 2026

During the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games, ISF President Željko Tanasković took part in the Olympic Capital Reception at the House of Switzerland, alongside leaders of the international sport community and in the presence of IOC President Kirsty Coventry, Swiss Federal Councillor, Minister of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport Mr. Martin Pfister, President of the Vaud State Council Ms. Christelle Luisier Brodard, and Mayor of Lausanne Mr. Grégoire Junod.

On this occasion, ISF engaged in exchanges with several International Federations on the future of school sport and on strengthening cooperation between IFs and the education sector. Discussions focused on how ISF serves as a go-to partner for International Federations seeking structured access to schools, students and physical education teachers worldwide.

Through these conversations, ISF reaffirmed its commitment to positioning school sport as a key pillar of the global sport ecosystem — linking youth, education and international sport organisations in a shared vision for the next generation.

Against the backdrop of the world’s top winter sport event, these discussions also opened concrete perspectives on advancing the development of a future ISF Winter Gymnasiade.
