ISF WSC Football Morocco 2023 - Official press conference

Rabat, [23.07.2023] - The ISF World Football School Championship commenced today with a press conference held before the opening ceremony and inaugural match of the competition. The event saw the presence of ISF President Mr. Petrynka, ISF Vice President Mr. Belqasmi, and the President of the Local Organizing Committee, Mr. Mili.

Addressing the gathering, ISF President Mr. Petrynka extended his heartfelt appreciation to all the stakeholders involved in making the biggest edition of the ISF WSC Football a reality.

"This event came to fruition through an extraordinary level of commitment and collaboration," said Mr. Petrynka. He underlined the active involvement of Morocco, a longstanding member of the ISF, and their tireless partnership with the organization for several months to ensure the resounding success of the championship.

Mr. Belqasmi, the ISF Vice President, echoed the sentiments of gratitude towards the ISF and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, along with the local organizing committee, for their relentless efforts in making the event possible.

Organized under His Majesty Mohammed VI’s patronage, this event is reflecting the significant role of school sports in shaping the lives of Moroccan youth. As Vice President, Mr Belqasmi took the opportunity to remind that ISF events are not solely about sports but also centered around education.

Backing this notion, Mr. Mili reaffirmed the Moroccan School Sports Federation's commitment to fostering educational projects in numerous schools, leading to the growth of school-level competitions.

Mr. Petrynka further highlighted the ISF's newly launched initiative, the ISF Academy, which pledges to provide essential resources to Morocco and other member states to enhance school sports and facilitate teacher training.
