MLF Agreement

Partnership agreement between the International School Sports Federation (ISF) and La Mission laïque française (Mlf)

Reims, May 15, 2023- ISF President, Laurent Petrynka and Francois Perret Mlf, President signed during the Mlf Congress “Enseigner la verité ? un defi toujours renouvele” a partnership agreement between ISF and (Mlf).

The purpose of the agreement is to encourage supervised participation by athletes representing Mlf schools in sports and educational events organised by ISF. This participation aims in particular to develop the practice of school sport in schools and the promotion of meetings and championships at all levels in a spirit of exchange, discovery, sharing and intercultural cooperation.

Pupils - or teams - selected within the countries, whose participation is validated by the head(s) of the school, have the possibility, according to their sporting level, to participate in all sporting events or meetings organised by the ISF.

Founded in 1972, The international School Sport Federation (ISF) is an international non-profit sport organization, acting as the umbrella organization and governing body for national school sport organizations around the world, organized sport, and educational events for youth from 6 to 18 years old.

Recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) since 1995, the ISF currently consists of 132 members all over the five continents organizing over 10 events per year and has more than 30 different sports included in its competition, key vision of ISF , A world where sport and education provide opportunities for all students to empower themselves and to become active citizens and to foster healthier communities .

The Mlf, by its statutes and the values on which it is based, aims to spread French education, language and culture throughout the world, in particular through the development of secular, multilingual and intercultural education. It creates, manages or runs approved schools or schools that are intended to be approved. It also carries out cooperation actions with schools or educational institutions abroad.

Its activities are in line with the educational policy of the Ministry of National Education and Youth, to which it is linked by agreement, as well as with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
