Kazakhstan School Sport Federation Strengthens National Cooperation to Advance School Sport Development

The Kazakhstan School Sport Federation (KSSF) has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the National Scientific and Practical Center for Physical Education (NNPTsFK) of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, marking an important step in fostering long-term collaboration for the sustainable development of school sport in the country.

The agreement sets out three main areas of cooperation:

  • Advancing school sports clubs and specialised sports classes, providing young people with more opportunities to practice sport within the education system.
  • Exchanging information and methodological materials, and cooperating on the selection, training, and preparation of Kazakhstan’s national school teams.
  • Jointly organising and hosting national and international school sport competitions, ensuring that school sport in Kazakhstan continues to benefit from both domestic and international exposure.

Both parties also underlined the importance of enhancing Kazakhstan’s participation in ISF events and activities, while at the same time promoting school sport nationally through mass media, youth engagement, and educational initiatives.

This memorandum highlights the shared commitment to a structured and long-term partnership in the field of school sport. In recent years, Kazakhstan has consistently and actively sent delegations to ISF events, demonstrating both stability and dedication to international school sport.

Beyond international participation, KSSF has also worked to expand the influence of school sport domestically, supporting high-performing student athletes and encouraging their role as role models. Initiatives such as scholarships and talent development programmes have further strengthened the reach and impact of school sport across the country.
